As a small child I loved running, but dropped it fairly early and for most of my young adulthood was pretty unfit. In my late 30s I realised that I had to start taking better care of myself and began cycling and running and quickly caught the bug. But this new fun was short lived as I was unknowingly hugely under fueled and I began to get back-to-back significant injuries. Everyone said I should strength train so I tried adding in some exercises at home. But the injuries kept coming, I was diagnosed with RED-S, and I could no longer run without pain. I developed a stress fracture and at that point I realised what I was doing at home was clearly not working. 
 
So I started working with Matt who quickly identified lots of imbalances and strength deficits as well as lack of stability and core tone. It’s only been 2 months, but my balance is already better, and my functional fitness has improved. It’s given me a great focus while I’ve not been able to run. He’s also helped me to gain back a healthy amount of weight to start recovering from RED-S. I couldn’t recommend him highly enough.
